Wes Surrett was born into the hospitality industry, his parents owned and operated the Homestead Motel just outside of Moncton, New Brunswick. Wes has traveled around the Maritimes and has settled with official CFA status in Baddeck, Cape Breton where he now manages the Silver Dart Lodge. Wes enjoys spending time with his family, wife Kate, son Evan, and "the bun in the oven", whether it be hiking around the Cabot Trail or relaxing on the shores of the Bras d'Or. Wes loves hockey (Toronto Maple Leafs), football (Philadelphia Eagles), and stock car racing (Kyle Busch) and would ultimately love to travel the world and take in sporting events around this big beautiful planet. Being a die-hard Maple Leafs fan, Wes dreams of one day seeing a Cup on Younge Street. Wes has really been turned on to Atlantic Canadian music lately listening to a lot of Joel Plasket and Ron Hynes. Wes is also a UNB alumni with a Bachelor Degree in Arts and Education - Go Reds!
