Living the Dream

I have always felt I was put on this planet at the wrong time.  Sure things are exciting nowadays with i-phones and i-pads and high-def tv and playstation 3′s and google and Dr. Phil with the answers to ALL of life’s problems, but what sense of being is there in life without the excitement of saving princesses from dragons?

I dream of a day far removed from the daily routine.

I dream of  what life might have been like if you lived at another time or jumped into Micheal J Fox’s time machine car and landed in a land far far away, long long ago.

Here is where I recommend a trip to the Fortress of Louisburg, the largest reconstructed 18th-century French fortified town in North America.  What a great experience!

What a great way to spend a day!  Louisburg is only an hour and a bit from the Silver Dart in Baddeck.  I highly recommend a visit while in Cape Breton.  Make sure you bring a coat, it can be chilly.
